Cookies for third-grade buddies

With the end of the year quickly approaching, we would like to surprise our third-grade reading buddies during the first week of June by bringing them treats to thank them for being our reading mentors by bringing them some cookies. They have been so dedicated about hearing first graders read to them every other week and helping them to gain fluency and confidence. We will need enough treats for 28 third-graders plus our class of 18. Please let me know if you are willing to send juice boxes, napkins, or cookies. Thank you!

A Belated Earth Day Post

On Earth Day, we did a lot of activities having to do with earth-friendly concepts. One of my favorites was designing our own watershed. Students worked in partners and were assigned a residential, commercial, industrial, or recreational area. We discussed how these things each affect a water supply. These are pictures of students during the design phase. I hope to get a picture of all of our properties together soon...


This is a preliminary design of a property. Below, students are working hard to finish their final designs before we put it all together.
