Holiday Program

Today was the big day of the double holiday program! Everyone looked so nice, and I could feel the excitement in the air as students started on their morning work. The weather has been so cold that we haven't gone outside all week for recess, but today, I think that was a good thing. We were able to avoid lots of hat hair!

I'm sure you enjoyed the program as much as I did. I was so proud of our class for their singing and getting to be the class to do the ice-skating dance!! I would love to post some pictures, but I need to get the okay from all of you parents before going ahead with that. Your child's name would never be posted, just their picture... Anyway, thank you for coming, and also a big thank you to the parents who decorated the stage and made cookies to sell to support Hyalite School. We appreciate you so much! Also, thank you to the people who signed up to bring either gingerbread-making items or holiday party goodies. We still have quite a few spots open if you didn't get a chance.

I am posting a picture of the potato that our class decorated today. Every class in the school was challenged to decorate a potato because we will be having local potatoes and an all locally-grown lunch tomorrow! The potatoes are from Manhattan, so we decorated one to see if we could win a free lunch on Friday for our whole class! Meet "Hedgie."
